Ensuring Your High Visibility PPE Measures Up to Standards

It is two decades since the Occupational Safety and Health Act (1992) and it is certain that this smart move to health and safety saves lives and avoids injury. One of the most identifiable elements of PPE, and perhaps one of the most common, is the highly visible medical grade face shields protective equipment.

High-visibility clothing has many different uses and is used in many different work environments. People working at night or in dirty warehouses, construction workers, and busy, fast jobs such as Field staff at airports, should be easily identified to avoid accidents.

While most companies understand that they are required by law to provide these devices, it is equally important to ensure that they are manufactured to the correct standards and that they are checked periodically to ensure that they continue to do their job properly.

All protective clothing or equipment must function properly. If you're wearing highly visible clothing but have impaired your eyesight, it's almost pointless. For those working in dusty or dirty environments, highly visible equipment should be kept clean.

Over time, the build-up of dirt can immediately destroy all reflective properties, and age can also affect the function of this element. Wear and tear can not only prevent this article from being ineffective. With so many inferior products on the market, it is important to check the quality of your PPE before buying anything.
